02Step 1 of 3

Discovery.

Discovery reveals what is true.

Discover reality.

This is ikigai. Before you can lead others with conviction, you need clarity on what drives you. In this step, you identify the intersection of what you're built for, what the world needs from you, and where your greatest leadership energy lives. That intersection becomes your leadership foundation — the anchor that holds when everything else is uncertain.

Discovery is where the leader learns to see reality without distortion. This is the phase of awareness, diagnosis, truth, identity, purpose, values, and context.

The leader is asking

What is actually true?

What matters?

What is being avoided?

What kind of leader am I becoming?

What does this moment require?

01

Situational Discernment

The leader sees reality clearly before acting.

02

Directional Clarity

The leader defines where the team is going and why it matters.

03

Truthful Alignment

The leader communicates honestly enough to create shared understanding.

10

Stakeholder Devotion

The leader stays oriented toward the people the mission exists to serve.

Discovery is not passive reflection. It is disciplined seeing.

03Step 2 of 3

Mastery.

Mastery develops who must lead.

Master responsibility.

The 8 Traits shape who the leader is. This is where the work happens. You build the 8 Traits of Iconic Leaders into your daily leadership practice — not as concepts to understand, but as capabilities to own. Stronger judgment. Sharper presence. Deliberate decision-making. By the end of this step, how you show up as a leader stops being a reaction and starts being a choice.

Mastery is where the leader develops the capacity to carry responsibility. This is the phase of inner formation, skill-building, judgment, humility, emotional steadiness, strategic maturity, and disciplined growth.

The leader is asking

What must I strengthen in myself?

What standards must I embody?

What do I need to understand, practice, or repair?

Where do I need more capacity?

08

Disciplined Growth

The leader keeps improving through reflection, practice, correction, and learning.

12

Grounded Resolve

The leader remains steady, humble, and committed under pressure.

07

Equitable Standards

The leader applies expectations fairly and creates room for people to contribute.

06

Consequence Ownership

The leader accepts responsibility for decisions, culture, and outcomes.

Mastery is not perfection. It is trained reliability under pressure.

04Step 3 of 3

Execution.

Execution turns leadership into results.

Execute the mission.

Clarity without a plan is just intention. In this step, you learn to apply the 12 Principles of Leadership to build a concrete roadmap for where you're going — your next role, your team's performance, your organization's trajectory. You leave with a plan that is specific to your situation, your goals, and the leader you are becoming.

Execution is where the leader turns clarity and capacity into outcomes. This is the phase of decision, movement, prioritization, building, communication, accountability, team development, and measurable progress.

The leader is asking

What needs to be done now?

What gets priority?

Who needs ownership?

What system, person, or process must be strengthened?

What result are we actually producing?

04

Responsive Strategy

The leader adjusts the path without abandoning the mission.

05

Focused Execution

The leader turns priorities into disciplined action.

09

Strategic Prioritization

The leader decides what matters most and protects the team from distraction.

11

Capacity Building

The leader develops people, systems, and teams that become stronger over time.

Execution is not busyness. It is aligned action that produces progress.
